How do you save in Code Vein?

Saving in Code Vein is very similar to the system in Dark Souls. While this game isn’t quite as unforgiving as From Software’s series, you can’t just save anywhere. Instead, the only time the game saves is:

• When you rest at a Mistle
• When you die and respawn at a Mistle

When you do either of the two above actions, the game will autosave. This is something that happens without exception. You can’t avoid saving if you use a Mistle in Code Vein, it’ll happen everytime. Since refilling your healing charges, unlocking new gifts, and leveling takes place at these bushes, you really can’t go too long without recording your progress.

This ends up being a hybrid of manual and autosave systems. You’re technically manually saving because you choose when to rest at a Mistle, but when you do so, it triggers the autosave system.

Unfortuately, you also only get the one save slot in Code Vein. So, you can’t save scum your way to victory. The exception is on PC. If you can locate your save file, you can probably Alt+Tab and make a backup. You could then quit out of the game if you messed up and copy the old save file back. This isn’t guarenteed to work and has the risk of possibly corrupting your save.

Your best bet is to just get in Dark Souls mode and get ready for saves to be a pain. Part of the difficulty in Code Vein is exploring and finding new Mistles, so just take the wonky save system as a feature.

Unlike other Soulsborne titles, it’s actually possible to save your game in Code Vein. If you don’t exit the game in a specific way, any progress you’ve made will be lost and you’ll need to do it all again! Avoid wasting hours of work by making sure you’ve definitely saved.

How to save your game

To save your game in Code Vein, you must use the game’s version of a bonfire – a mistle. These mistles are scattered throughout the levels in such a way that encourages exploration. After finding a mistle, you must use the save and quit option. The whole process is as follows:

1. Find a mistle
2. Rest at the mistle
3. Select “Save and Return to Title Screen” to save your game

Unfortunately, the only way to save your game is via the Save and Return to Title Screen option. This is a bit troublesome, as it means you will need to reload the game each time you want to save. Worst still is that if you choose to not do this method, and your game crashes, you run the risk of losing any unsaved progress.

This is unlike other Soulsborne titles that tend to save passively in the background. Code Vein does have some moments where this is the case, but it’s not as reliable or frequent as Dark Souls. For example, after spending a lot of haze in the Home Base, I simply quit via the in-game menu as opposed to using the save and quit option. When I reloaded, none of my purchases had been saved despite having spent 15 minutes running around talking with people, trading, and buying things.

Saving your game in Code Vein is incredibly important. While it does have an auto-save feature, manually saving is the only way to know for certain that your actions have been recorded. А у меня такой вопрос. Как эту игру вообще сохранять? Точнее, как её сохранять после боя с обезумевшим Сильвой и превращения Ио в плакучее дерево? До этого я в меню омелы выбирал пункт "Сохранить и выйти", но после этого момента игры омелы больше нет, но она при этом вроде не закончилась (дальше пока не играл). Так как быть? Если просто выйти то при следующем заходе меня выбрасывает к началу боя с Сильвой.

Ну, так это уже по идее конец игры, насколько я помню. Можно либо вернутся и опять бой с Сильвой не начинать — тогда сможешь сохраняться и доделать дела. Либо после боя и финальных диалогов, а также сцены — тогда на базе в двери появится начать новую игру+

А что если у меня по указанному пути ничего нет?
Точнее даже папок AppData\Local не существует, не то что сейвов. В итоге не могу найти где этот сейв. Хотя, в той папке есть просто папка "Сохраненные игры" и там есть сейвы некоторых игр, но не Code Vein.
Что я делаю не так, где его искать?

В поиске ищи,по любому должен найти,включи Отображение скрытых файлов.

C:\Users\Имя пользователя\ AppData\Local\CodeVein\Saved\SaveGames\1638

Имя пользователя — у каждого своё.

AppData — скрытая папка, нужно включить в параметрах папок пункт — Показывать скрытые папки и файлы, либо вбить путь в адресную строку сверху.

Последняя папка с цифрами, тоже может отличаться, в зависимости от того, лицуха у тебя или пиратка.
