UB TIME REC (Запись времени в битах пользователя)
ASSIGN BTN (Кнопки назначаемых функций)
CLOCK SET (Установка часов)
WORLD TIME (Всемирное время)

Ub time rec, Ub-date/tc-time, Ub time rec ub-date/tc-time – Sony HVR-Z7E User Manual

Insert a tape to the main camcorder from
which you want to generate the time code.
Set the POWER switches of the main and
sub camcorders to CAMERA.
Connect the sub camcorder to the main
camcorder with an i.LINK cable.
Set the main and sub camcorder as follows:
• Set [TC RUN] to [FREE RUN] (p. 89).
• Set [TC MAKE] to [PRESET] (p. 89).
Set the sub camcorders as follows:
Select [TC/UB SET]
the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial.
The message [Synchronize TC with
connected device?] appears.
Select [YES] to synchronize the time code
of the sub camcorder with that of the main
camcorder. Disconnect the i.LINK cable
from your camcorders when
synchronization is completed. You can
record with the synchronized time codes
using those camcorders.
• If you want to execute [TC LINK] for more than
two camcorders, repeat the steps for multiple
sub camcorders with one main camcorder.
• Some frame shifting may occur over time after
time code synchronization.
• Some frame shifting may occur if you turn the
power off and back on. In such a case, set [TC
LINK] again.
Does not save the actual time in the user
bit code.
Saves the actual time in the user bit code.
You can save the date and time set in your
camcorder in the user bit and time code,
respectively, when you do this function.
• This function is available in the following cases:
– [TC MAKE] : [PRESET]
– [TC RUN] : [FREE RUN]
– [UB TIME REC] : [OFF]
• The time lag may occur between the set time
code and the actual time as time goes on. Do
[UB-DATE/TC-TIME] again prior to recording.
[REC SETTINGS] menu
Formats the SD card in the specified slot. Data deleted as a result of formatting cannot be restored. Always confirm the data before formatting.
The items that can be selected are as follows.
[CLIP NAME]
[CAM INDEX]
Sets the CAM INDEX used in the name for the MOV format file to be recorded. Set one upper case alphabetical character. This is used as a value to be stored in the volume label of the SD card.
The items that can be set are as follows.
(Factory setting: [A])
This will be stored in the volume label of the SD card, but will not be used in the file name when the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] menu → [SYSTEM MODE] → [MAIN CODEC] is set to AVCHD format.
[NEXT REEL COUNT]
Sets the REEL COUNT used in the name for the MOV format file to be recorded. The setting value of [NEXT REEL COUNT] is stored in the volume label of the SD card as REEL COUNT together with the setting value of [CAM INDEX]. Also, the setting value will increase one after storing. (It will return to [001] after [999])
When the SD card is formatted
When recorded to the SD card where REEL COUNT is not stored in the volume label
The items that can be set are as follows.
(Factory setting: [001])
This will be stored in the volume label of the SD card, but will not be used in the file name when the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] menu → [SYSTEM MODE] → [MAIN CODEC] is set to AVCHD format.
[2 SLOTS FUNC.]
Sets the recording function using two SD cards.
Sets to relay recording.
Sets to simultaneous recording.
(Factory setting: [RELAY REC])

Sets whether to perform pre-recording.
The pre-recording time differs depending on the setting of the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] menu → [SYSTEM MODE] → [MAIN PIXEL]/[MAIN CODEC].
Performs the pre-recording.
The pre-recording time is as follows.
When [MAIN PIXEL] is [1280×720], [1920×1080], or [2048×1080]: Approximately 10 seconds
When [MAIN CODEC] is [422ALL-I 400M]: Approximately 3 seconds
Other than above: Approximately 5 seconds
Does not perform the pre-recording.
(Factory setting: [OFF])
For the combination that can be set and restriction, refer to “Recording function that cannot be used simultaneously”.
[REC FUNCTION]
[REC MODE]
Selects the recording mode.
Performs the standard recording.
Performs the interval recording. (A function to repeatedly perform the operation of one frame recording in set time interval.)
(Factory setting: [NORMAL])
For the combination that can be set and restriction, refer to “Recording function that cannot be used simultaneously”.
